Overview
The SMARTEMP HSC-AD features a compact, shallow design with a flat-faced radial discharge pattern. It is engineered for high-level installations such as foyers, exhibition halls, auditoria, convention centres, sports complexes and large distribution centres. Furthermore, the adjustable helical guide ring allows the diffuser to switch from a horizontal swirl pattern for draught-free cooling to a downward penetrating swirl cone for heating. As a result, it maintains system air balance while optimising occupant comfort.
Key Features
- Adjustable helical guide ring with vanes. Consequently, it provides full horizontal-to-vertical airflow adjustment while maintaining low and consistent pressure loss.
- Compact, shallow profile. Therefore, it suits restricted ceiling voids and high-level free-hanging installations.
- Manual adjustment as standard. Alternatively, choose an optional thermal wax actuator or a 24V AC/DC electric actuator with 2–10V modulating control.
- Suitable for flush ceiling mounting or free suspension in applications with discharge heights from 2.5m to 10m.
- Available in nominal diameters from DN250 to DN710. As a result, it supports airflow capacities of approximately 70 to 2000L/s within the APAC region.
- Powder-coated galvanised steel construction with face vanes and hub. In addition, selected sizes are available with an optional stainless steel face.
Performance & Benefits
The helical swirl design generates strong room air induction. Consequently, it improves air mixing and promotes uniform temperature distribution throughout the occupied space.
During cooling operation, the high-induction swirl pattern prevents cold air dumping and delivers even air distribution over long throw distances. Conversely, during heating, the downward penetrating swirl cone distributes warm air over greater heights without creating draughts or stagnant zones.
The diffuser also maintains consistent pressure characteristics while adjusting the discharge pattern. Therefore, changing the vane position does not affect system airflow balance. As a result, it minimises fan surging and helps maintain stable HVAC performance.
