Overview
The SMARTEMP CNW-AD circular nozzle is engineered for extended throw air distribution in commercial HVAC systems. It features an “eyeball” style nozzle with a round mounting flange and concentric discharge face. As a result, it provides flexible installation in ducts, walls and bulkheads.
Key Features
- Round eyeball nozzle face provides a clean architectural appearance while delivering efficient 360° airflow.
- High-velocity jet discharge delivers long throw performance from DN100 to DN500. Alternatively, optional radial swirl vanes provide a shorter throw for DN250 to DN500 applications.
- Adjustable discharge direction over a 60° arc (±30° from the central axis). Consequently, the nozzle allows targeted air distribution and improved occupant comfort.
- Multiple adjustment options are available:
- Manual swivel adjustment (DN100 to DN630).
- Thermal self-acting wax-bulb actuator (DN315 to DN630). It automatically directs airflow upwards during cooling and downwards during heating.
- Electric actuator (24V AC/DC with 2–10V analogue control) for Building Management System (BMS) integration (DN315 to DN630).
- Powder-coated aluminium construction provides excellent durability, corrosion resistance and an attractive architectural finish.
- Stable airflow performance across varying supply-to-room temperature differentials (ΔT ≥ -8K). Therefore, the nozzle maintains excellent comfort levels over long throw distances. It also typically achieves an ADPI greater than 80%.
Technical Specifications
- Airflow range: 8 to 1000L/s (29 to 3600m³/h).
- Throw distance: 3 to 60m, depending on neck size, discharge pattern and installation height.
- Nominal neck sizes and configurations:
- DN100, DN125, DN160 and DN200: Jet discharge with manual adjustment.
- DN250: Jet or swirl discharge with manual adjustment.
- DN315, DN400 and DN500: Jet or swirl discharge with manual, thermal or electric adjustment.
- DN630: Jet discharge with manual, thermal or electric adjustment.
- Typical installation discharge height: 3 to 10m.
Applications & Benefits
The SMARTEMP CNW-AD suits large open spaces such as commercial atriums, warehouses, airports, exhibition halls and industrial facilities where long throw and precise directional control are essential.
Furthermore, the adjustable discharge allows the nozzle to adapt to both cooling and heating modes. This is particularly beneficial when combined with the thermal or electric actuator options. As a result, it improves year-round occupant comfort while helping minimise draughts.
In addition, optional swirl vanes provide a shorter throw where required. Therefore, the nozzle offers greater flexibility for spaces with varying ceiling heights and layout constraints.
Wall or bulkhead mounting also reduces duct run lengths while improving the architectural appearance of perimeter installations.
Finally, the durable aluminium construction and powder-coated finish deliver long service life and require minimal maintenance in demanding commercial environments.
