The SMARTEMP ASF-AD diffuser is engineered for demanding rooms such as halls, auditoria and lecture theatres, where occupant comfort and air-distribution performance are critical. Installed beneath seating platforms, the unit supplies air from floor level with a carefully inclined rear-ward pattern to avoid cold jets at the ankles of seated people, especially on steeply-raked tiers.
Key features include:
- Adjustable damper with settings at 40 %, 60 %, 80 % and 100 % airflow, allowing precise balancing across zones with varying heat loads or occupant densities.
- Nominal DN200 (≈ 200 mm) circular floor face, with a swirl-air pattern offering high induction, rapid mixing and low air-velocity supply for great thermal comfort and reduced draught risk.
- The inclined discharge can be manually rotated, enabling the supply air jet to be directed towards the underside or rear of seats rather than into the legs of the occupant—even if the diffuser is offset from the seat. This is especially beneficial when structural constraints prevent ideal placement.
- Faceplate finishes include standard grey polycarbonate plastic or shot-blasted / polished cast aluminium option (with optional powder coating). The diffuser ships with a trim/mounting ring compatible with pressurised plenums, and features a rapid-mount design that allows tool-free installation or relocation.
- Designed as a displacement-air solution: the diffuser contributes to a low-level occupancy microclimate by supplying cool air at floor/ankle height, letting warmer plumes rise to the stratified upper layer for removal—resulting in improved occupant comfort, lower draught potential and enhanced indoor-air quality.
