The SMARTEMP ASF-AD diffuser delivers high-performance air distribution in demanding spaces such as halls, auditoria and lecture theatres, where occupant comfort is critical. Install it beneath seating platforms to supply air from floor level through a carefully inclined rearward pattern. As a result, it directs air away from occupants’ ankles. This is particularly beneficial on steeply raked tiers.
Key Features
- An adjustable damper offers 40%, 60%, 80% and 100% airflow settings. Consequently, you can balance airflow across zones with varying heat loads or occupant densities.
- A nominal DN200 (approximately 200mm) circular floor face generates a swirl airflow pattern. As a result, it creates high induction, promotes rapid air mixing and delivers low supply air velocities for greater thermal comfort and reduced draught risk.
- Users can manually rotate the inclined discharge. Therefore, they can direct the supply air towards the underside or rear of seats instead of occupants’ legs. It also compensates for installations where structural constraints prevent ideal diffuser placement.
- Choose from a standard grey polycarbonate faceplate or a shot-blasted or polished cast aluminium face with optional powder coating. In addition, the diffuser includes a trim and mounting ring for pressurised plenums. It also features a rapid-mount design. Therefore, installers can install or relocate the diffuser without tools.
- The diffuser uses displacement air distribution to supply conditioned air at floor level and create a comfortable occupied zone. Meanwhile, warm air naturally rises into the stratified upper layer for extraction. Consequently, the diffuser improves occupant comfort, reduces draught potential and enhances indoor air quality.
Applications
Use the SMARTEMP ASF-AD in auditoria, lecture theatres, tiered seating venues, sports arenas with under-seat supply zones, and other large spaces that require high-quality occupant comfort and stratified air distribution. Furthermore, it performs exceptionally well in tiered seating installations. As a result, it helps minimise cold air cascading down steps.
