Overview
The Harmony SD swirl diffuser features 24 radial vanes that deliver a fixed horizontal (4-way) discharge pattern, producing a high-induction swirling air stream that mixes rapidly with room air. The result is efficient dilution of supply air, minimal draught, and uniform temperature throughout the zone.
Installation is flexible — the diffuser may be mounted flush with a closed ceiling (e.g., standard 600 mm grid) or freely suspended in open ceilings.
Key Features
- Ideal for low-temperature supply air: operation with supply temperatures ≥ 5 °C and ∆T supply-room up to –15 K.
- Wide airflow range: 12–400 L/s (43–1 440 m³/h).
- Neck diameters supported: DN200, DN250, DN350, DN500.
- Discharge height suitability: 2.4 – 4.5 m.
- Optional neck reducers for reduced airflow; blanking segments for 3-way/2-way discharge; perforated face panels for face screening.
- Face-plate options: standard square (for 600 mm grid) or optional round (for suspended ceiling applications).
- Durable powder-coated galvanised steel construction.
Performance Benefits
Thanks to the high-induction swirl discharge, the Harmony SD achieves rapid air-stream momentum decay and strong mixing. This means both short throw and long throw performance are optimised — delivering comfort with an Air Diffusion Performance Index (ADPI) typically ≥ 90% even at low specific airflow rates (≈ 1 L/s/m²).
In VAV systems the turndown capability can reach approx. 32-38% at ∆T supply-room of –15 K.
The swirl discharge pattern means that supply air is quickly equalised with room air temperature, avoiding cold-air dumping, draughts, hot or stagnant spots.
Applications
The Harmony SD is suited to a wide range of commercial environments including offices, retail spaces, meeting rooms, educational facilities, and any application where low-temperature supply air is required and superior occupant comfort is expected. It is compatible with both constant air volume (CAV) and variable air volume (VAV) systems.
