V Belts are an essential drive system component that connects the motor pulley to the blower pulley in centrifugal evaporative units.
V Belt Types:
- A Section Belt: Measure 13mm (1/2″) in width and 8mm (5/16”) in height
- B Section Belt: Measure 17mm (5/8″) in width and 11mm (3/8”) in height
The length of the v-belt is indicated by the number after the code, generally marked on the outside of the belt (ie. The A40 v-belt is 40 inches in length). To accurately measure the length of your V Belt use a flexible measuring tape (not a steel one) and wrap it around the outside of the belt. If a flexible measuring tape is unavailable, use a thin string to take the measurement, then place the string on a steel tape measure to determine the correct length.
