Installation and Maintenance Tips

New filter pads may have an unpleasant odour when first installed. To reduce this odour and prevent it from entering the air-conditioned rooms, it is recommended to flush clean water through the pads for 5 minutes by filling the tank, running the water pump and then fully draining the tank prior to use. Use the 'Pad Flush' option where available, or run in cooling mode on the lowest fan speed to do this.  New pads may also take several hours to wet out when first used.

Filter Pad Instructions

To maximise the life of your new pads ensure your cooler salinity management or bleed system is functioning correctly to prevent excessive salt build-up in the pads.

It is also recommended to gently rinse your pads with water annually to clean the pads and remove any dust build-up.
