Installation and Maintenance Tips

Remove filter pads from your unit as per instructed in the user manual for your unit. When fitting new pads ensure that the 30mm water distribution strip is at the top.

New filter pads may have an unpleasant odour when first installed. To reduce this odour and prevent it from entering the air-conditioned rooms, it is recommended to flush clean water through the pads for 5 mins by filling the tank, running the water pump and then fully draining the tank prior to use. Use the 'Pad Flush' option where available, or run in cooling mode on lowest fan speed to do this. New pads may also take several hours to fully wet out when first used.

To maximise the life of your new filter pads ensure your cooler salinity management or bleed system is functioning correctly to prevent excessive salt build-up in the pads.

It is also recommended to gently rinse your filter pads with water annually to clean the pads and remove any dust build-up.
